Fil-Act Next Gen traces its origins to 1969 as "Fil-Act," an organization that fostered a close-knit Filipino basketball community and instilled a lasting passion for the game. Building on this legacy, Fil-Act Next Gen was created to honor those roots while establishing its own identity.

Michael Mines is not only a recruiter of  Fil-Act NextGen but also an “Imaginative Director.” With strong connections across various basketball communities, his innovative ideas and energy have a positive impact, and inspire others.

Taylor Ventura

Taylor Ventura is our Head Photographer and Creative Director. Her goals are to ensure that our creative projects are thoughtfully organized and executed, while collaborating with artists and communities to foster unity through art.

Erwin Zapanza, Fil-Act NextGen’s recruiter and community liaison, plays a vital role in keeping us connected with the external organizations essential to our success at events. Beyond his professional expertise, Erwin is our resident comedian, always bringing laughter and joy to the team.

Always willing to help, Krishan is the go-to person for anything and everything, consistently giving his best to support others.

JJ Silva, Co-Founder and Graphic Designer of Fil-Act Next Gen, is the creative force  of the organization’s visual identity, contributing his creative talents to everything from apparel and logos to marketing. Beyond his design work, JJ also manages scheduling and ensures that every participant can enjoy our events comfortably and with ease.
